Potential double page spread idea

1) New Boy band make it big!
Images: The main image would be positioned in the centre of the double page spread and it would be quite large. This will draw people’s attention to the band making the image the main focal point of the spread. The image will be of the band performing at a gig of some sort to show people how they perform. Then I would have ‘artist profile’ section, where there will be smaller CU images of the individual band members. There would also be another image of the band practising in a studio.
Text: The main article will be a Q&A with the band, it will include questions on what genre of music they play, personal info and where they will be performing next. In the ‘Artists Profile’ it will include, information of the home life of the band members, there interests, hobbies and there specialist skills in the band.
Colours and Layout: the layout will be quite conventional; it will be in straight columns and blocks. To make it attractive to look at, the artists profile will be stuck on in different places on the spread. It will be on a Polaroid picture of the individual band member with info about them on the rest of the picture. The mast head will be quite large and positioned in the middle of the left page covering about 20%. I will use traditional music magazine colours that appeal to both sexes, Black, White and Red.

2) Fashion on a Budget
Images: The images on this will be of different items of clothing. I will focus on ‘What to wear at a gig?’ There will be about 4 long shots of the same model wearing different clothes, and two celebrity influences, one male and one female. The image will be larger than the others and will be on the left side of the double page spread. The other 4 images will be on the other page they will be the same size and positioned in each quarter of the page. To make it appealing to both sexes there will be two pictures of girls and two pictures of boys.
Text: There will be a main article about what type of clothes to wear to gigs and what not to wear. There will be quotes from a stylish celebrity giving advice. There will be arrows coming off the 4 smaller images with information about the items of clothing and why they are good. They will be four different styles so there will be different titles at the top of each image. All around the double page spread there will be small posts about peoples fashion mishaps. There will also be information about what to wear to different styles of bands.
Colours and Layout: The layout will be like a fashion magazine but keep with the traditional colours of a music magazine. On the side with the main article it will be very structured, with the writing in columns. The mast head will be quite large and positioned in the middle of the left page covering about 20%.

3) Track of the Year
Images: There will be many images on this page to show different peoples styles and interests. They will be quite small MS of people holding an IPOD. There would be about 10 of these images and 2 large MLS of two other people facing each other in the middle of the page. They will be looking at each other like they are just about to go to war with them. They each will be holding and IPOD with their favourite song visible. They will all be wearing neutral colours with a bright IPOD.
Text: There will be a small article bellow the Mast Head informing people of what the page is about. By each of the smaller pictures there will be information on the person and there favourite track and why. This will be the same for the two larger images.
Colours and Layout: the layout of this will be different to most magazines. It will be symmetrical having 5 small pictures and 1 large picture on one page and the same on the other side. The mast head will then be positioned at the top of the spread and the smaller article between the two large images in the middle of the spread.
